Here’s the free Halloween movie lineup at NYC parks in October

NYC celebrates spooky season with a slew of movie screenings in its parks.

Throughout October, city parks will be showing Halloween movies to get New Yorkers in the right mood. The initiative is part of “Movies Under the Stars,” a project to bring more than 150 screenings to parks across the five boroughs. In addition to Halloween-themed movies, New Yorkers can also find family-friendly titles as well as all-time classics and new movies.

In October there will be scary movies for all ages. Among the selected titles, guests can expect to find Werewolves inside (noted R) as well as Hotel Transylvania, which is perfect for children. The beloved 1993 film Hocus Pocus is also part of the program, and those looking to review beetle juice will be able to do so this weekend at the Brooklyn War Memorial in Cadman Plaza Park. Other titles include The Addams Family and casparamong others.

Guests are encouraged to bring food and chairs to the screenings, which are free. Reserved seating is also available for seniors and people with disabilities.
