Sacrewell Farm in Thornhaugh on the A47 has an extended weekend of Jubilee fun for everyone, Burghley House near Stamford has a live heritage game and three-day national fair while Rumble Live, the experience of live action game at Grafham Water, hosts its first night family camping event.
Sacrewell, the popular heritage and visitor attraction just off the A47, will celebrate the memorable Jubilee, from June 2 until June 5, inviting visitors to share friendship, history and the fun while exploring all that Sacrewell has to offer starting at 9am. – 4:30 p.m. each day.
Highlights of the event will include an inflatable obstacle course, live music, children’s games, craft activities, a special Jubilee trail and a tractor display provided by the Peterborough Farm Machinery Preservation Society from the 1950s to present day, including a display of period tools and panels. since the start of Queens reign.

On Saturday, traveling theater company Quantum Theater will put on a fabulous outdoor theater performance in the Mill Stream area called The Reluctant Dragon.
This touching, sweet and fun story of George the reluctant dragon is about bravery and friendship and is suitable for all ages. It includes access to Sacrewell from 3pm the same day, so visitors can enjoy all the attractions at one site before the show, which starts at 5pm and lasts 1 hour 45 minutes. Each child’s ticket also includes a free scoop of ice cream in between. (Blankets and chairs are welcome as the show takes place outdoors)
Burghley House will host three days of first-class entertainment over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend, including an extreme equestrian event involving a horse and a large skateboard.
The Living Heritage Game and Country Fair, June 3-5, features some of the biggest names and organizations in the countryside.
From horse riding events to clay shooting, and rural crafts to street food, visitors heading to the sprawling grounds surrounding the Tudor mansion are ready for a real royal treat as the nation celebrates the Jubilee queen’s platinum.
With the 16th century house as a majestic backdrop, the annual Living Heritage and Countryside Game Fair returns promising even more country sports, rural activities and arenas, alongside a large village artisans and a restaurant area.
While there will be plenty of traditional field sports over the weekend, including clay shooting, the main arena will feature a more unusual activity…horse riding, an extreme sport that combines horse riding and mountain boarding.
This little-known and up-and-coming equestrian challenge involves one horse and two riders, with one competitor on an all-terrain skateboard towed behind the horse, reaching speeds of over 30 mph around a series of obstacles.
Further displays of speed and agility will come from a National Fair favorite in the main arena, Falconry, where crowds can watch stunning birds of prey as they dive and soar, with demonstrations by some of the best falconers in the UK.
For more pet treats, The World of Dogs is a dedicated dog lover’s area with exhibits as well as a hunting dog clinic, a fun show, lurcher races and more, including the “doggy shopping” for pampered pooches.
In the craft village, there will also be demonstrations – including glass blowing and chainsaw carving – while the “Food Glorious Food” zone will host producers of food and street and drink specialties, as well than a country kitchen offering cooking demonstrations.

Rumble Live, Cambridgeshire’s award-winning family forest attraction at Grafham Water, will hold its first-ever nighttime camping event – Rumble’s Big Family Camp Out – on Thursday June 2 – the start of the Platinum Jubilee long weekend.
The overnight camping pass costs £50 per person, which includes: a place to pitch your tent in the woods; three 60-minute Rumble Live laser tag sessions (two evening sessions and one morning session, worth £45); evening campfire meals including hot dogs, toasted marshmallows and bacon rolls for breakfast. Vegetarian dishes will also be offered.
There will also be music around the campfire in the evenings and a special soundtrack during the Rumble Live sessions to add to the atmosphere.
To mark the Jubilee, Rumble Live will host a “Platinum Tournament” at the event, which will involve ranking across all three sessions. The top scorer will win a VIP session for 10 players, as well as a Rumble Live Platinum medal.
For those who want to camp but not take part in the Rumble Live sessions, the entry fee will be £20, which will include food. Campers can arrive from 4 p.m. on June 2 and the event will end at 10:30 a.m. the following day, after the morning session.
Rumble’s Big Family Camp Out will accommodate up to 100 players and is open to adults and children of all ages, although children must be eight years and older to participate in Rumble Live sessions.
Campers must bring their own camping equipment, however toilet blocks (with accessible toilets) and drinking water are available on site.
“We are incredibly excited to be hosting our first camping event,” says Jacquie Rumble, co-owner of Rumble Live with her husband Billy.
“For a while we considered the setting perfect for camping and with the long bank holiday weekend in June we thought we’d do something a little different which we’re sure will attract new players and will delight our regulars.
“This will be a fun occasion for the whole family, not just those who attend the Rumble Live sessions.”
Rumble Live is an award-winning attraction – having just won Best Adrenaline Activity in Cambridgeshire at the 2022 EastLife Awards which is decided by public vote – popular with families, couples and groups of friends in and around the Midlands as well as those who are on vacation in the region.
Rumble will be open normally on June 2 and 3, so those who want to visit for a regular session can still do so.
